Terms & Conditions

1. Scope & Application

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by LikeLingo (“Agency”) to business clients (“Client”) and, where relevant, private consumers (“Consumer”). By commissioning services, the Client or Consumer agrees to these Terms, which prevail over any conflicting terms.

2. Services

The Agency offers content localization and writing services for digital platforms. The specific scope, deliverables, fees, and timelines are set out in each project agreement or subscription plan.

3. Advance Payment Policy

  • Advance Payment Required: All services, including projects and subscriptions, must be paid for in full and in advance. No work will commence, and no deliverables will be provided until payment is received in full.

  • Confirmation: Payment confirmation will be provided, and the project or subscription period will begin only after receipt of payment.

4. Client/Consumer Content & Rights

  • Ownership & Rights: The Client/Consumer confirms they have all necessary rights and permissions for any content or materials submitted to LikeLingo. The Client/Consumer indemnifies LikeLingo against any third-party claims arising from unauthorized use of such content.

  • Prohibited Content: Content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes third-party rights is not permitted.

5. Copyright & Ownership

  • Transfer of Rights: Upon full payment and delivery, all intellectual property rights in the deliverables transfer to the Client or Consumer. LikeLingo reserves the right to use work samples for portfolio purposes unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

  • Copyright Assignment: The transfer is effective upon delivery and payment. The Client/Consumer may use, adapt, or assign the content as desired.

6. Subscription Services

  • Subscription Points: Service credits (“points”) are valid for 60 days from the date of issue.

  • Termination: Subscriptions may be terminated with 30 days written notice, effective at the end of the current subscription period plus the notice period. Unused points expire 60 days after issuance and are non-refundable.

  • Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled following the notice period.

7. Data Protection & Confidentiality

LikeLingo processes data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the EU Data Act. Both parties agree to keep all non-public information confidential.

8. Accessibility & Compliance

LikeLingo ensures digital deliverables meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) for users with disabilities.

9. Limitation of Liability

LikeLingo’s liability is limited to the total fees paid for the specific project or subscription period, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

10. Termination

10.1 B2B (Business Clients)

Binding Agreement: For business clients, all purchases and agreements are binding upon confirmation and advance payment. No cancellations, refunds, or terminations are permitted after the agreement is entered into, and payment is received, except as required by mandatory law.

10.2 B2C (Private Consumers)

For private consumers, the right of withdrawal is governed by section 13 below.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These Terms and any agreements between LikeLingo and the Client or Consumer shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Danish law, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

  • Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts, with Copenhagen City Court as the court of first instance.

12. Amendments

LikeLingo reserves the right to update these Terms from time to time. The current version applies to all new engagements and is available on request.

13. Special Terms for Private Consumers (B2C)

13.1 Waiver of the 14-Day Right of Withdrawal

By ordering our services or digital content, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once the service is fully performed or the digital content delivered.

  • After delivery of the final content, you cannot cancel or request a refund.

  • You will be required to confirm this consent and acknowledgment before your order is processed.

13.2 Statutory Guarantees

Your statutory rights regarding the quality and conformity of digital content and services remain unaffected.

13.3 Transparency & Fairness

All contract terms are drafted in accordance with EU requirements for fairness and transparency. Unfair terms are not binding on consumers.

By commissioning services or subscribing, the Client or Consumer confirms acceptance of these Terms and warrants that they have the authority to enter into this agreement.
