Welcome to LikeLingo! We’re excited to help you connect with the world through our localization services and our handy Google Docs add-on, GoalGadget. Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully—they apply to your use of our website, our localization services, and our add-on. By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Using LikeLingo’s Services

  • You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country) to use our services.
  • If you use our services on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have the authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

3. Our Localization Services

LikeLingo offers translation, localization, and language consulting services to help your business go global. When you use our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and lawful content for translation/localization.
  • Not submit content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on third-party rights.
  • Use our deliverables only for lawful purposes.

All content you provide remains yours. We only use it to deliver the services you request.

4. Intellectual Property

  • All LikeLingo branding, website content, and service materials are our intellectual property.
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials without our written permission.
  • You retain all rights to your own content and documents.

5. Payment & Cancellations

  • Payment terms are as agreed in your project proposal or invoice.
  • If you need to cancel a project, let us know as soon as possible. Cancellation fees may apply if work has already started.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • We do our best to deliver high-quality work, but LikeLingo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service.

8. 🦄 Special Section: GoalGadget Google Docs Add-on

This section applies when you use our Google Docs add-on, GoalGadget.

A. What GoalGadget Does

GoalGadget helps you track word counts, set writing goals, analyze keyword density, and upgrade links in your Google Docs. The add-on only accesses the content of the document you’re working on and never stores or transmits your document content outside Google’s environment.

B. Permissions & Data Handling

OAuth Scopes Used:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/documents.currentonly // read and edit your current document
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.ui // shows the sidebar

Data Storage:

  • Only your word goals and keywords are stored, and only within your document using Google’s secure systems.
  • No document content or personal data is stored on LikeLingo’s servers or transmitted to any external party.

Data Sharing:

  • We do not share your data with third parties, except as required by law.

User Consent:

  • By installing or using the GoalGadget add-on, you consent to the permissions and data handling practices described here and in our Privacy Policy.

C. Error Reporting

If something goes wrong, Google’s error tracker (Stackdriver) may log technical details (like error codes and function names), but never your document content or personal info.

D. User Rights

You can contact us at contact@likelingo.com to ask about your data, request deletion, or ask questions.

E. Security

All processing happens within Google’s secure environment. We never transmit your document content outside Google Docs.

F. Updates & Future Features

If we add new features (like Airtable integration), we’ll ask for your permission and update our policies.

G. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The add-on is provided “as is.” LikeLingo is not liable for any damages or data loss from using the add-on.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post changes on our website. Continued use means you accept the new Terms.

10. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Denmark.
